Well, Portland has finally gotten the worst winter storm ever in it’s history. There’s like 2 feet of snow on the ground and lucky for us Portlanders, the City has no SNOWPLOWS! YAY. We are all doomed to die inside our warm dwellings as the food supply runs out. Thankfully we have the internet to keep us alive…

Well I’ve done it, as the name of this website implies, I will soon have crabs again. I still get hate mail from time to time from people who got pissed off when I got rid of the old hermit crab picture gallery site and replaced it with a personal blog but hey, it’s MY website after all. I am starting a hermit crab rescue for the holidays and will be making a trip to the Gulf Coast to set them free next year. I should start a non-profit organization so I can write off this stuff. Hmmm.

Well I’m at it again. This time I have created a frankenstein track torch. This is a precision cutting tool with a plasma cutter attached to it. I made everything including the wheels! Power is courtesy of a low-speed DC gear motor linked with a model airplane tire to the drive wheel. These torches retail for over $1000 so I seem to have saved a few dollars in creating my own. Works awesome.Found object parts include:

• Front wheel from Razor Scooter
• Weird bearing shaft thing I found at the scrap yard
• Model airplane tire
• Old pedal off bicycle
